South Brunswick Junior Varsity delivered one of its most dominant offensive performances of the season Monday, shutting out Kennedy Memorial 64-0
Jun Kim (’26) led the Vikings’ explosive attack by hitting for the cycle, finishing with an inside-the-park home run, a triple, and two doubles. South Brunswick piled up 31 hits in the victory, while Nicholas Colon (’29) and Darnel Ruiz (’29) each recorded six-hit games.
The Vikings wasted no time taking control, erupting for 11 runs in the first inning before adding nine more in the second. Their offense reached another level in the third with a 31-run outburst, followed by 13 additional runs in the fourth inning.
On the mound, Thomas Nyitrai (’28) earned the win after tossing three scoreless innings and striking out six batters. South Brunswick also stayed sharp defensively, finishing the game without committing an error.
This remarkable 64-run performance stands as one of the most unforgettable offensive displays in recent program history and highlights the depth of talent developing with South Brunswick baseball. Beyond the lopsided score, the game reflects the future potential of the Vikings Program, showcasing a roster filled with young players capable of carrying South Brunswick baseball to continued success in the coming years.
