After Board Member Rajesh Soni raised questions about some of the books in the South Brunswick curriculum during the August 21 Board Meeting, The Viking Vibe decided to investigate the issue as our first Special Report. We looked into many sides of this complex issue: We reached out to administrators, teachers, and librarians. In the process we leared about how curriculum gets developed, how books get challenged, and the larger issues at stake when books are challenged and banned.
